I fist tried Proactiv around the age of 13. My mom suggested I give it a try, because like most teens I struggled with moderate acne. After a year my acne was well under control, and I felt I no longer needed it to control my acne, so I gave Proactiv a break for about 5 years. Now almost 20 I began to notice my skin breaking out more and more often. I first atributed the breakouts to a swich in make-up (I began adding a tinted moisturizer under my bareminerals foundation to help give me added coverage and moisture). I switched to a completly oil free and fragrance free tinted moisturizer with little success in clearing up my skin. I fan of Clinique products and skin care i was a little hesitant to try Proactive again, eventhough it had worked wonders for me before. About 2 weeks ago I finally broke down and purchased Proactiv. So far I have noticed clearer, brighter, and smoother skin. However living in a very dry and windy climate I have found that my skin simply cannot handle the drying effects of twice a day as directed. What I now am doing is using Proactiv in the morning under my make-up (with a moisturizing sunscreen) and my Clinique 3-step combination/oily skin care at night to help repair my dry skin as I sleep. For anyone out there who is unhappy with Proactiv because of drying effects I would try somthing similar to this. I would however invest in an equal quality skin care such as Clinique. When you put good products on your skin, you get good results. Also remember to always wear a good sunscreen and extra moisturizer if you need it. Overall however I truely belive Proactiv is a great product that works wonders.

I am not happy at all! I used to use the original formula and it worked great for a year and then my acne came back. Now on the new formula my skin cleared up for 2 days and then my breakouts got worse and my skin went oily and then dry and peeled.

works well. I have been using it for a couple of days now and I already see results. But I do recommend using one of the moisture products with it otherwise it feels dry.

I had been using a much more expensive product because it was working for me, but it suddenly stopped working. The Proactive products make my skin feel much cleaner and doesn't irritate my skin (just the first day I experienced minor redness). The oily feel of my skin seems to be slowly disappearing and I haven't had one pimple since I began using it.

I always had bad acne as a teenager, and have been seeing my dermatologist since I was about 14. I've used everything he's prescribed, and decided to try Proactiv as a last ditch attempt at clearing my skin before trying Accutane. I wasn't looking forward to using Accutane, but at 25 I was done with having bad skin. I'm absolutely thrilled that Proactiv has worked as well as everyone said it would! My sister used it last year and said it was too irritating for her, so she had to stop. She has a fair complexion (pink undertones, burns easily) so I wasn't surprised her skin didn't take to it well. I have olive skin, tan easily, and my skin can handle the more drying prescriptions my derm has prescribed. I don't think I would recommend this for someone with fair skin. But for myself, it has been great! If I feel my skin getting too dry, I just use the face wash once a day, and skip step 3. The toner is one of the best I've ever tried; it's soothing, not drying, and leaves my skin sooo soft. I haven't had one pimple since I started using Proactiv, and it's even starting to clear up my acne scars. I would tell people who say it makes their skin worse, that that's usually how products work (even from the dermatologist) if you pores are blocked, your skin will get worse before it gets better, as everythinng is brought to the surface and then cleared. I've seriously tried everything and was skeptical about this working as well as everyone said it does... I mean, I've literally tried EVERYTHING! But I'm pleasantly surprised and will be singing Proactiv's praises along with everyone else.

Ordered the 30 day supply on Jan. 15th 2012 and still haven't received it and its Feb. 28th, 2012. Delivery time is unacceptable. Did receive a free travel kit around Feb 22nd but thats only going to last for 15 days apparently.

My face is a lot clearer since using Proactiv, especially when I use the mask. Before using Proactiv I tried to hide the flaws with make-up but with Proactiv I feel more confident. I still get a few breakouts so it's not a perfect product for me. I don't get flawless skin, but definitely clear enough that I can feel comfortable and confident.
